Hong Kong Fringe Club

One of the missions of the City Festival is to establish contacts and channels for local artists to tour and promote their works outside Hong Kong. Since its launch in 1999, the City Festival has succeeded in building a network with many cities around the region, including Adelaide, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, and Singapore. It will continue to seek new opportunities for new productions and touring, both in Hong Kong and abroad.

Hong Kong Dance Company

Established by the former Urban Council in 1981, with the aim of promoting Chinese dance, the Hong Kong Dance Company was formally incorporated in April 2001 as a charitable and non-profit making institution and is financially supported by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Since its inception, the Hong Kong Dance Company has staged over 100 productions, many of which were highly popular and won critical acclaim.

Hong Kong Cultural Centre

The building of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre has signified the beginning of an artistic link to the world. The Centre, covering 5.2 hectares and offering 82,231m² gross floor area, commands a prime waterfront position. Since its grand opening on 8 November 1989, the Centre has remained the premier cultural venue offering a stimulating environment for art talents and quality programmes to the public and has since been witnessing the development of the arts in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Arts Festival

he Hong Kong Arts Festival is a charitable, nonprofit organization. It is a major international art festival as well as the premier arts event in Hong Kong. Featuring overseas and local artists of renown in an eclectic array of music, theatre, dance, popular entertainment, film and exhibition programmes, the Festival offers a four to five week long cultural feast annually from February to March.

Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, established by Government Ordinance in 1984, is one of the leading institutes of higher arts education in Asia. It provides professional education, training and research facilities in the performing arts, theatre and entertainment arts, film and television. Its educational policy reflects the cultural diversity of Hong Kong with an emphasis on Chinese and Western traditions and interdisciplinary complementarity.
